Academos Cybermentorat is the designer, editor and operator of the Academos Web site (www.academos.qc.ca), which is hosted from its Montréal office. Academos Cybermentorat has defined the following terms of use for the Web site.
By using this Web site, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by the following terms, which may be modified at any time. Use of the Academos Web site is governed by the laws of the province of Québec.
Academos Password
You must select the password that you wish to use to access Academos. Your password must however respect certain constraints with the goal of maximizing the security that is offered to you. Make sure to select a password that you will easily remember but that will be hard for someone else to guess.
In order to protect your personal information, treat your Academos password with as much care as you do your bank PIN : do not divulge it to anyone, do not store it in your computer and do not write it down anywhere.
Correctly managing your password means maximizing its security and the security of your confidential information. You are personally responsible for the protection of your Academos password : we cannot be held responsible of any unauthorized access to your file or for the loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your file due to your negligence to protect your Academos password.
Unauthorized access
It is expressly forbidden to access or to permit access to any Academos service for illegitimate ends. Will be considered as illegitimate
- Any fraudulent access using another person’s identifier and their Academos without their explicit permission
- Any attempt, regardless of the method, including any technological or computer methods, to obtain a user’s password without their knowledge
Any attempt to access an account that is not your own constitutes fraudulent use liable to severe sanctions, including expulsion from Academos. These sanctions are in addition to any other appropriate recourse in terms of civil or criminal law suits.
Use of Web site content
All rights to the material on the Web site are reserved. You can electronically copy or print material from the site for internal use, but you cannot otherwise reproduce, edit or disseminate the information in any form or by any means whatsoever for any use other than that permitted (for example, commercial use) without the prior written consent of Academos Cybermentorat.
Right of use
The right to use the Academos Web site is subject to all the limitations, terms and restrictions established by Academos. Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct could result in suspension or removal from the site.
Links to other sites
This Web site contains links to Web sites operated by third parties and are provided solely as a convenience to you. Academos Cybermentorat is not responsible for the content of linked third party Web sites, and while it takes reasonable measures to ensure the accuracy of the contents on this site, it cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the information on these third party sites. You are responsible to take all protective measures to guard against viruses and other destructive elements.
Limitation of liability
Academos Cybermentorat provides all the communication tools required to participate in the e-mentoring program on its Web site. Consequently, conversations between e-mentors and e-mentees must take place on the site. Face-to-face meetings are prohibited. In this regard, e-mentors sign an agreement undertaking not to communicate with e-mentees by means other than those provided on the site.
For security purposes, Academos Cybermentorat occasionally monitors communications between e-mentors and e-mentees on the site. Academos Cybermentorat is in no way responsible for communications between e-mentors and e-mentees that do not take place on the site or that take place using communication means not provided by Academos or by Academos Cybermentorat.
